While filming the "Boneyard Match", Undertaker received a call from his niece, stating that his brother, Timothy Calaway, suffered a heart attack. At first, The Undertaker thought that his brother was alive and was sent to a hospital. However, when he asked his niece which hospital his brother was admitted in, his niece said, 'he didn't make it'. Undertaker also said that it was hard to film the match, due to the fact it was filmed in a graveyard and surrounded with coffins, which referenced to his brother's passing.
First time Edge has competed in a one on one match in nine years.
Unlike the rest of WrestleMania, the Firefly Fun House Match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt was (aside from Cena's brief entrance in the empty arena) shot in Stamford, Connecticut at WWE headquarters. This enabled them to make use of various props and set dressings kept in storage there.
Originally scheduled to take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, the event moved to the Performance Center in Orlando due to the 2019-20 COVID-19 pandemic though Raymond James Stadium would host WrestleMania 37 the following year.
