- TriviaThe internationally renowned performing arts school that produced ballerinas and actors such as Doreen Wells, Jane Leeves, Faruza Balk, John Partridge, Michael Nunn, William Trevitt and Holly Aird was closed prematurely in 1988. In 2010 a reunion brought former pupils from across the globe back to the site to tread the boards of their famous theatre one last time and take one final bow before its demolition to make way for retirement flats. The documentary was made to try to change the minds of the chairman of Retirement Village, to plead with him to let the theatre remain standing. Although the theatre was subsequently demolished and retirement flats were built, out of the ashes of the documentary, a new performing arts academy was created in its memory - the Gielgud Academy of Performing Arts.
