While the first two games based the characters on their comic book characteristics, this third installment bases most characters in appearance and voice on the MCU versions, the exceptions being Wasp, Falcon, and Thanos
Similarly, Deadpool is now instead played by Nolan North again, replacing his previous voice actor John Kassir from X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse and the previous two Ultimate Alliance games.
Liam O'Brien now voices Nightcrawler, replacing Dee Bradley Baker from the previous X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance games.
