Stunning. Heartbreaking. Vicious. Beautiful. Terrifying. Dark. Brutal. Above all it is humane. Tomb and Smith's unmatched power study of darkness and light based around the choices we make and horrifying consequences which can await us. Most can't stomach the sheer brutality at play here. It is a stark reminder life is not promised. Only offered and we are under the illusion of control.
The dialogue in the film and the plot were literally improvised based off a simple pitch to actors Chris Shipton and Megan Groves. I can't recommend it to the casaul cinema goer. It is for the brave only. It is deeply divisive and has some questionable portrayals of the urban underground culture but it will make you think for a very long time after it ends. Me personally I was deeply moved.

Megan Groves is mesmerizing as the titular character Laura, along with the supporting cast in this hard-hitting drama, especially with it's own producer Kellyann Summers. Laura has second thoughts about going to her own birthday outing but her friend Kaylee insists that they carry out the evening's entertainment. There they encounter two men that would change their lives forever - James and Tom. The film is not made for everyone, and rightly so. It's a much more grounded take on the subject matter that a lot of people had faced. It doesn't care about upsetting the viewers and it's brutal ending certainly makes a heavy impact that will leave you wanting more.

Oh my , main character is unbelievably outstanding here . Undoubtedly an award winning performance. It's quite clear she took this role as a challenge it was never seen look and performance of her on screen tragedy. Based on real story this movie is more important in present context of world. Male and female power-packed direction is real essence of this remarkable piece of filmmaking. Hats off to them and the cast for this unforgettable experience of harsh and hard hitting life portrayal surely very realistic. Must watch stuff highly recommended.

This film was trying to make a point about something but failed to deliver its message. Why it's on YouTube and amazon prime I'll never know. Not worth paying for at all. It's just 30 depressing minutes of your life you'll never get back.

Laura's Story is a story like no other. The dark themes build up every well as the tale unfolds for our two main characters Laura and Kaylee as they go for a typical night out expecting nothing more. The film can start off boring for some but it will gradually get better especially on the second half.
But I will give this film credit for where it's due, it's extremely well photographed for a low budget production. I don't know if saying "based on a true story" is nessessary though as it's just a typical storyline about something horrible happening to an innocent girl in the most plainest way. This film is painfully average though and it's a shame the premise doesn't really help hold it together. That's why I'm giving this film a 5/10.
