Although its story has been shown in many films, a good screenplay adds its effect. Some of the dialogues in the movie are very impressive.
There are also some offensive things in the Malang movie that make it dramatic and light. Most of these belong to the latter part of the interval. The real thriller of the movie begins in the second part. The end of the film is unexpected, but it also decreases the impact of the film.
The hard work that Aditya Roy Kapoor has put on the bodybuilding for this film is visible. He has also done acting well in the role of Advait. Disha Patani looked glamorous, and she was average in acting.
Anil Kapoor is the most exciting character of the film. Kunal Kemmu was quite shocked, and he reached out in some scenes. Not forgetting Elli Avram, she plays the radical character correctly and plays a vital role in the Malang.
Mohit Suri's direction was excellent, but in some places in the film, the editing could have been a little better and also the dialogues. For the first time, it has happened in a movie by Mohit Suri that almost every character has a dark side.
Malang movie is primarily made, keeping in mind the audience of single-screen cinemas. Those who like masala entertainment movies will like this film.

Loved the story and the cinematography! Good to see use of day-to-day contemporary camera equipments like GoPro Hero 8 being used to shoot few scenes. Also, brilliant on the visuals of the movie too! Although not too much.
Music was also really really good in this movie. No doubt! But coming to the entire execution and acting : the acting by each and everyone was just mindblowing!!! HATS OFF TO ADI AND ANIL KAPOOR! What great acting by them both!
I think in terms of execution, it could have been a bit more refined. Because the ending felt a bit rushed and few other scenes felt a bit incomplete. But other than that, very good attempt towards a ROMANTIC THRILLER - have to give that!

The film revolves around dramatic events in the lives of Advait (Aditya Roy Kapur) and Sara (Disha Patani), crossing paths with two police officers...!
Director Mohit Suri maintains a steady grip on the narrative for most parts.
There are two interesting twists in the plot, they aren't as big as they should have been.
Malang takes you from one 'thrill' to another without taking much time. A fast pace - one time watch movie.
if you're going for *Disha's hotness*, just go because there's much more to it..,Disha is in her *Calvin Klein bikini* 👙 all the time.
MALANG is high on style with good performances and thrilling moments but has an average storyline.

This was good one with great cinematography done at Goa. Definitely worth it.
Mohit Suri, The director does it once again! He just knows his craftsmanship so well especially when it comes to A particular "Mix Genre" film. Consisting different elements such as Drama, Emotions, Crime, Thriller. This blend has always worked pretty damn good for him. And it happens once again!
The storyline here follows a similar pattern to his previous films, It is amassed with twists and turns. It beautifully portrays Relationships and their values. The emotional punch wasn't as strong as I usually expect from him but still it was on point. It just never hit the right strings each and everytime. The thrill element has being kept decently enough. Specifically in the second half where the plot transitions into more darker & serious tonality. But still it has some illogical points and loopholes that can't be ignored so easily if you think deep. The performances honestly levelled up all the final outcomes though. Their commitments for each character has shown integrity and seriousness towards the plot and I admire that. Aditya Roy Kapoor, Anil Kapoor have done their roles amazingly. Kunal Khemu was a surprise package. Sad to see His talent so unutilised in the industry. He is so underrated. Disha Patani has certainly improvised on her acting skills here. Great to see her giving dedicated efforts to do so. Eli Avram was decent too in her short tenured role. Overall the performances made the plotline convincing and genuinely Helped it to become much more engrossing and tenseful.
The music and the soundscore as a whole played another major part; regarding the vibe of the movie. It showcases some soulful songs that fits so well with the innovative Cinematography. The music will stay in your mind for very long time, I can assure that!
Overall it's a nice movie, that didn't disappoint me nor did satisfy me to the fullest. It's good for what it is. And it will vastly depend on your judgement or whatever your preference is. Personally I enjoyed it and I think you would too.

Totally illogical, nothing really makes sense. Probably one of the most senseless movies I've watched. Full of overacting and exaggeration and too many coincidences. The plot twists were super dumb and didn't make any freaking sense. To be very honest, if you're down for mindless, nonsensical drama, feel free to go ahead. Waste of my two hours.
Let me tell you first, I'm not a fan of Aditya or Disha, but then comes MALANG with high dose of love, adrenaline, action, drugs and beaches of Goa. Malang doesn't promote drugs or tourism of Goa instead deals with issues lying in our morally corrupt liberties and how choices we make end up taking us into unknown. Mohit Suri direction is good specially the introduction of Aditya in opening scene.Disha is lived her character to the fullest. Crackling chemistry is evident in both the lead characters. Anil Kapoor and Kunal khemu are exceptional. Music is top notch. Malang and Humraah are going to sway you from your seats.
Malang stands for all those self intoxicated solo backpackers who are searching for their other crazy half.

Seems like main stream media are not responsible for social awareness! Promoting drug usage as a norm is not appropriate at any level. To add to that, the story line is so bad that it's stinks through the Tele!

Malang has a well-written plot and takes you by surprise in the second half. The movie feels predictable and dull initially but goes from 0-100 real quick. Anil Kapoor, Aditya and Kunal all performed well and Disha was decent. Overall a great one time watch, will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat in the climax

So I really did not expect much from this film and it was kind off going as expected in the 1st half...very bleak and boring. Then came the second half...DAMN!! Not spoiling anything but the second half is a rollercoaster ride.
Its a one way screenplay film so don't connect the dots anywhere. Let the film flow as its flowing and you might have a good time

Review By Kamal K
The story revolves around a couple in Goa, confronting two police officers Anjaney Agashe (Anil Kapoor) and Michael Rodriguez (Kunal Khemu ) and the collisions have on each other's future. Advait (Aditya Roy Kapur) is an amazing actor who really brought the character to life in. His physique, and his stunt skills are so stunning that I couldn't take my eyes off and has gone to another level. Disha Patani as Sara, worked well with her body and intellectual acting type, and her attitude as a woman who goes after what she wants. Coming to Kunal Kemmu, he was my sweetheart always. I became his hardcore fan, when I saw his movie "hum hain rahe pyar ke "..that was released in 1993, and he acted as a role of Sunny, with his sweet, smart and quirky character, he outshone and stole my heart. In "Malang " his strenuous attitude, will make you wonder, what it would be like to be an amalgamation of Kunal (Michael)'s greatest weirdos? Well, look no further than Mohit Suri's thriller Malang. Elli Avram, as Jesse, looks determined and convincing. Music by Vikas Sivaraman is exciting, appealing. This exciting musical composition brings out a sense of adventure and student will enjoy the brisk tempo and fiery rhythms. Cinematography is unexplainable. Goan pub culture, disco lights in the discotheques, are real heaven. And water sports, underwater swimming, all of them are very catchy and eye feasting scenarios. And top it all, while doing underwear swimming Aditya's six pack abs and Disha's hour glass figure keep our mouth agape. This film served as a great entertainment with it's colorful casts and numerous plot twists. There were a few times when the movie felt a bit drawn out, but gorgeous action scenes and impressive dialogues really held the audience attention and keep them on the edge of their seats.Themes endurance, courage, loyalty are some attributes deployed in the move. Despite the films minor short comings, the "Malang " is exciting, creative and well worth a few hours of your time.

The movie does not make any sense at all. The first half, events progress rather haphazardly, nothing seems planned or in control for either the protagonist or the antagonist(s). Towards the end you're tired and just want to leave the theatre. Then the producer decides to incorporate the most senseless ending in a movie which completely negates the entire point of the movie.
Spend some time with your family. Go out to dinner, hiking or even a chick flick. But don't waste your time here

Sheer brilliance by Mohit Suri.. A brilliantly made Thriller .. All aspects are brilliant and a special word for Kunal Khemmu..
The movie is good, although quite know storyline. Aditya Roy Kapur could have been a way better. Nonetheless it's fun one time watch.

Malang is the kind of throwaway romantic thriller that you'll forget almost immediately after watching. The non-linear revenge storyline is as 'basic' as it can get, with the only difference maker here being Goa's aesthetically pleasing (and often stylish) backdrop.
In the past, the tree-trunk hero (Aditya Roy Kapur) Advait falls in love with trite, free-spirited NRI heroine Sara after a one-night stand, and they decide to tick off some the latter's "bucket-list" nonsense together. Their romance (if you can call it that) is nothing more than a tourism ad for Goa (and parts of Mauritius, I'm guessing?) - rave parties, drugs, underwater sex, and whatnot. It's as tepid as you can imagine - I'd give marks to Kapur and Patani for managing to look so insanely gorgeous, even when their lines are corny as hell.
In the present, cops are getting murdered one after the other on Christmas eve. Anil Kapoor plays a middle-aged, encounter-loving, coke-snorting officer Agashe while Kunal Khemu appears to be his priggish counterpart Michael. They play each other off in a few badly written scenes with Kapoor faking his eccentric laugh. As is the case with Bollywood romantic thrillers, a song breaks out every other minute - don't ask me why - probably, the writer (Aseem Arora) ran out of cheap philosophy. The twist at the end is also a bummer that, in a way, retcons a good chunk of the film's initial half.
The biggest eye-roll arrives in the form of Michael's backstory. Yes, it's a relatively less explored territory in commercial cinema, but this isn't the film where it gets fully tapped into. Mohit Suri is satisfied going after cheap thrills instead. It also sucks that all the women characters in the movie exist just to get attacked and exact revenge later on. And when the revenge (for sexual violence) is served by unleashing heaps of style over substance, it doesn't help.

A killer murdered policemen one by one then 2 of the police try find him soo hardly..
The movie plays in non_linear way and songs are boring and love portions too..
Climax twist is awesome it hard to guess..
But same story came in soo many movies but here director used some unique way to tell story...

This movie was a nice movie. Not a very good movie nor a bad movie. Special mention to Kunal Khemu... His acting was superb and his role was much bigger than my expectation. But you will like the climax of the movie only if you hadn't watched its trailer.
