      Asymmetric Information

When the foreman quits, Tom Tyler takes over, just in time for owner Fred Gamble, son Frankie Darro, and daughter Jean Arthur arrive and see him assert his authority with his fists. Miss Arthur is repulsed. Darro is enchanted, and determined to become a cowboy himself. He and another boy will spend the picture hornswoggling each other for comedy purposes. Meanwhile, neighboring ranch owner LeRoy Mason has discovered there's oil on Gamble's ranch, offers him cash for the land, and forges a telegram to force Gamble to agree to the sale.

Can Tyler save the ranch and win Miss Arthur's heart? Well, yes, even though I'd like to see the former end in a law court, given the issues. Despite some talent that would later become quite notable, it's definitely a B movie, with its main virtues its short length and an exciting four-way race at the end.

The copy I looked at had suffered extensive decomposition.
