    From 1914 to 1924 Saint Petersburg was re-named Petrograd. After Lenin's death, Petrograd was re-named Leningrad. After the dissolution of the USSR, Leningrad was re-named St. Petersburg, after the Tsar 'Peter the Great'.

    Pravda is a Russian word meaning 'Truth' and the name of a newspaper from 1912 to 1991. It was one of the official periodicals of the Russian (later all-Union) Communist Party.
