Different ending with 3D glasses?

According to Timehop, this silent movie was the first ever 3D film, and it had a different ending depending on which side of the glasses you used. How did that work? How can I watch this in 3D? I want to see this!

Love is powerful

According to one reference book, this is the first 3-D movie, not Bwana Devil, which is usually given that honor. So any quiz show that accepts Bwana Devil as an answer is three decades off. (The book is called Great Events of the 20th Century). But then I guess Bwana Devil was the first one to come out during the short-lived 3-D craze of the 50's.
