"Mickey's Garden" from 1935 is the first color Cartoon in which Mickey speaks, although he only speaks in the last 20 seconds of the Cartoon.
Mickey wears yellow gloves for the second time in "Mickey's Garden" from 1935, although they are a lighter yellow. His first color appearance "Parade of The Award Nominees" for the 1932 Academy Awards, had him wearing yellow gloves for the first time, they were darker however. "Mickey's Garden" from 1935 is the first of four Mickey Mouse Cartoons of 1935 in which he wears yellow gloves.
The worm which Mickey reluctantly rides in "Mickey's Garden" from 1935 at one point proceeds to walk in the way of Charles Chaplin's "Little Tramp".
"Mickey's Garden" from 1935 is Pluto's second color appearance, his first color appearance was in the special color film "Parade of The Award Nominees" for the 1932 Academy Awards, however he appeared in Grey in that special film. "Mickey's Garden" from 1935 can be considered Pluto's first actual color appearance, because he appears in his traditional yellow color.
Clarence Nash is voicing the Stag Beetle in "Mickey's Garden" from 1935.
