The closing music ("The End") of this short is the only time that the familiar "Mockingbird" Theme song was played without the raucous bird voices, which are replaced here by muted trumpets.

Was the first The Three Stooges short to feature a pie in the face gag.

During the pie fight, the supporting cast ran out of cream puffs. They had to scrape every ounce of cream off the floor, along with the dirt, sawdust, and nails, to finish the film.

This was the second series appearance for Symona Boniface. However, it is the first time she speaks any lines, as in her prior appearance, she had no lines.

Moe Howard states in his autobiography that over 150 pies were thrown.
