She Was an Acrobat's Daughter (1937)

Trivia

She Was an Acrobat's Daughter

Edit
The list of "Cast Off Characters" for the movie "The Petrified Florist," which goes by too fast to see, reads as so: The Hero... Lester Coward; The Shero... Bettie Savis; Rich Man... John P. Sockefeller; Poor Man... John Dough; Begger Man... Kismet; Thief... Oph Bagdad; Doctor... Jekyll; Lawyer... Ima Shyster (the last five names then repeat endlessly).
The feature film in the cartoon, "Petrified Florist", is a satire on Warner Bros.' own The Petrified Forest (1936) and shows a barroom scene with caricatures of stars Bette Davis and Leslie Howard.
The start of the feature film shown has a lion crowing like a rooster, a send up of MGM's mascot Leo
The organist, Stickoutski, is a spoof on Leopold Stokowski, a famous musician of the era, and he plays a Wurlitzer organ, spoofed here as a Fertilizer.
Rejected Shorts is a spoof of the term selected shorts, which were shown with a feature film: newsreels, cartoons, travelogues and the like. The Goofy-tone News shorts are a spoof on Movietone News, while the Vita-tone short is a play on Vitaphone, both of which distributed feature shorts to cinemas. The newscaster shown is a pun on Lowell Thomas, a famous broadcast personality of the era.
