Long thought to be a lost film, a print of this movie has been located and restored. The restored print had its premiere screening at The Film Forum theater in New York on November 16, 2014.
The first Broadway production of "Synthetic Sin" opened on October 10, 1927, and closed later that same month after ten performances. The production's cast included Peggy Allenby, Claude Archer, Alan Birmingham, Dorothy Burgess, Edward Butler, Louis Darclay and Helen Sinnott.
