January 21, 1930: The complete negative of "South of Sonora", a five-reel talker with Buffalo Bill Jr. and Betty Joy, together with four one-reel Edgar Guest monologues were destroyed by fire in the cutting room of the Photo Kimena Laboratories on North Seward Street. (From Exhibitors Daily Review and Motion Picture Review.) The film had many theatrical bookings in 1930-31 but none of those 35mm prints have ever turned up..to date.
