Robert Montgomery, Anita Page, and June Walker in War Nurse (1930)

Trivia

War Nurse

Edit
Loretta Young was replaced by Anita Page midway through filming, which led to her scenes being deleted and re-shot. Young can briefly be seen in a long shot.
War Nurse (1930) was based on the anonymous book War Nurse: The True Story of a Woman Who Lived, Loved and Suffered on the Western Front (New York, 1930).
The film made its world premiere at New York's Astor Theatre on 23 October 1930. (New York Sun, 23 October 1930)
War Nurse (1930) marked the first onscreen appearance of French actor Charles Boyer, who is seen briefly as a French surgeon in the operating room. He is unrecognizable behind the surgical mask and cap, but his voice is distinctive. Although Boyer made the french-language version of The Big House (1930) (released as Big House (1931) / "Revolté dans la Prison" in France) for M-G-M at around the same time as War Nurse (1930), that film was not released in the United States.
Sharp-eyed viewers will spot a screen appearance by actress-cum-gossip columnist Hedda Hopper as "Matron", the woman in charge of the nurses.
