LOOKING AT HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood, July 31---Mario Lanza soon will be working for his alma mater--Metro. Their former parting came about with jeers and hisses; the reunion means love and kisses. Mario will do a remake of "Be Mine Tonight," which starred Jan Kiepura about 25 years ago. Lanza takes his entire family to Rome within the next two weeks where the picture will be filmed. Lester Welch is behind this project, with the blessing of Metro's Arthur Loew. Details were worked out yesterday and Mario's like a kid again. Welch, incidentally, is responsible for many operatic films, among them "Aida" and "Traviata." . . . .
