(at around 9 mins) Marion (Loretta Young) refers to herself as "just a farmer's daughter." Young later won an Oscar for The Farmer's Daughter (1947).
When Marion finds Dixie's misplaced stockings, Dixie praises her by cheekily saying, "I need thee every hour." This is the title of a popular hymn written 60 years earlier.
The movie obviously is Pre-Code as the following never would have gotten past the censors:
- Marion discovers she's illegitimate as the result of an unwanted pregnancy
- Marion forsakes the church when she leaves for New York
- Dixie is seen in braless scanties as she searches for her stockings.
