The Gang decide to put on a show so they can buy new uniforms for their sports team. While Spanky is talking to the audience, notice that they are seated with the boys on the left, and the girls on the right. This complete segregation was common in 19th century schoolrooms, but seems very strange for 1940s America. Many other Our Gang shorts with audiences of children do not follow this same pattern.
