In chapter 1 when Larry is fighting the gorilla, the gorilla grabs the saber and breaks it, but the sound when it breaks is wood, not steel, and when it hits the floor, the sound is also of wood.
Several times you can see the ankles of the man wearing the gorilla suit.
The opening shot shows a caravan wending itself across the desert, but no desert can be seen anywhere in the rest of the film.
