Filming, which occurred in the midst of World War 2, was moved from the Bourget airport near Paris in occupied France to the Bron airport near Lyon in Vichy France after mid-August 1943, in order to escape Allied bombings.
Underwent a 4K digital restoration in 2019 at the L21 laboratory using two intermediates and a duplicate, the original nitrate negatives having been lost. Some imperfections were deliberately kept in order to not distort the film.
