"I've Gotta Have You" (music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Mack Gordon), sung by June Havoc, was deleted from the movie. Miss Havoc's pre-recording was released 1976 on the Out Take Records LP (which later would be reissued by DRG), "Cut! Out Takes From Hollywood's Greatest Musicals, Volume One."
"Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie on
November 15, 1943 with Alice Faye reprising her film role and Robert Young in the John Payne part.
A memo to the exchange managers and exhibitors (and attached to 20th Century Fox's press book) reads: "CORRECTION! Please eliminate the following credits on "Hello Frisco, Hello": George Barbier... from the cast. Hermes Pan... as co-stager of the dance sequences."
The movie is a remake of King of Burlesque (1936), starring Warner Baxter. Alice Faye and Jack Oakie play the same roles (i.e. the heroine and the hero's sidekick) that they played in the previous film.
"The Screen Guild Theater" broadcast a 30 minute radio adaptation of the movie on April 3, 1944 with Jack Oakie reprising his film role.
