1942 was a banner year for Tim Holt. He starred in seven B westerns - more than any other year in his prolific career. Pirates of the Prairie was the sixth movie of the seven, followed by this one, Red River Robin Hood.
Richard Martin plays a small uncredited role as the son of a robbed rancher , two years later he would return to Tim Holt's series of westerns as Tim's sidekick Chito Rafferty in 29 films.
This film's earliest documented telecast took place in Philadelphia Sunday 13 May 1956 on WFIL (Channel 6); it first aired in Salt Lake City Saturday 16 June 1956 on KUTV (Channel 2), in Altoona Sunday 1 July 1956 on WFBG (Channel 10), in Detroit Saturday 11 August 1956 on WJBK (Channel 2), in Washington DC Sunday 21 October 1956 on WTTG (Channel 5), in New York City Wednesday 31 October 1956 on WOR (Channel 9), and in Los Angeles Saturday 10 November 1956 on KHJ (Channel 9).
