The lead role was originally intended for James Ellison, but he was replaced by Gilbert Roland shortly before shooting began.
Egon Brecher is erroneously identified in literature on this film as playing The Grey Wizard. Neither Brecher's name nor this character appear in the on-screen cast, so at best the "information" came from a press book; but the actor playing the role is clearly not Brecher.
