This cartoon was inspired by The Gorilla Mystery, an early 1930 Disney short film.
The identity of the voice actor playing the radio announcer in this cartoon has never been revealed by Disney.
Contrary to what is said in the cartoon, though it's probably done intentionally for comedic effect, you never want to look a gorilla straight in the eye if you ever come into contact, as they will take it as a sign of aggression and will be more prone to attack.
