W.C. Fields, Eleanor Powell, Cab Calloway, Woody Herman, and Sophie Tucker in Sensations of 1945 (1944)

Trivia

Sensations of 1945

Edit
Eleanor Powell's final starring role in a movie. After this, she would make only cameo appearances in films.
Final film of W.C. Fields.
Billboard magazine (March 25th 1944 page 87, column 1) states that Eleanor Powell and electrician Phil Braun dreamed up one of the dance numbers based on a pinball machine and worked on it for six weeks. When she would hit one of the pins, it would light up.
Re-issued in the early 1950s by Astor Pictures, the film was retitled simply "Sensations" and in tiny letters on the title card was the disclaimer "Formerly titled Sensations of 1945". The old nitrate prints were used and the section of the main title that was changed was inserted, thereby keeping the cost of the re-issue to a minimum.
Dorothy Donegan and Gene Rodgers are the wonderful pianists performing during the Cab Calloway session.
