Post WW-II television viewers got their first look it in New York City Sunday 23 January 1949 on Film Theater of the Air on WCBS (Channel 2), in Baltimore Sunday 23 April 1949 on WMAR (Channel 2), in Los Angeles, Sunday 8 May 1949 on KTLA (Channel 5), in Boston Tuesday 30 August 1949 on WBZ (Channel 4), in both Philadelphia and Cincinnati Wednesday 31 August 1949 on WPTZ (Channel 3) and on WLW-T (Channel 4), in Atlanta Sunday 25 September 1949 on WSB (Channel 8), in Salt Lake City Thursday 17 November 1949 on KSL (Channel 5), and in Chicago Wednesday 22 February 1950 on WGN (Channel 9).
"The Screen Guild Theater" broadcast a 30 minute radio adaptation of the movie on January 15, 1945 with Charles Ruggles, Fay Bainter, 'Hattie McDaniel' and Helen Broderick reprising their film roles as Sam Whitaker, Frances Whittaker, the maid and Irma.
