Trivia

Three Pests in a Mess

Edit
William Kelley reprises his non-speaking appearance in this short as a man named Joe wearing a skeleton costume. He previously performed this role in Spook Louder (1943).
This short was part of Turner Broadcasting System's 1992 Halloween television special "The Three Stooges Fright Night" along with If a Body Meets a Body (1945), We Want Our Mummy (1939), and Dopey Dicks (1950).
The first half of this short is a remake of plot elements from the 1933 Paramount comedy short "Sailors Beware!". The second half is a remake of plot elements from the 1933 Hal Roach Studios comedy short "Wreckety Wrecks".
Gene Sheldon performs in his uncredited appearance as the mannequin shrouded inside the white sheet. His unseen body would be mysteriously tapping Curly. Sheldon would go on to perform as the Headless Robot in "Dopey Dicks". His fame actually rose when performed in Walt Disney's Spanish Western series Zorro (1957).
Production number #4022.
