Bela Lugosi, Wally Brown, Alan Carney, Anne Jeffreys, and Darby Jones in Zombies on Broadway (1945)

Trivia

Zombies on Broadway

Edit
The jungle scenes were filmed on the sets used for RKO's Tarzan series.
Sir Lancelot and Darby Jones virtually repeated the same roles they had created in RKO's very successful 1943 venture, I Walked with a Zombie (1943). Both are set on the same fictional Caribbean island of San Sebastian.
Wally Brown and Alan Carney, who receive top billing here, were RKO's "answer" to Universal's top box office draws of the 1940s, Abbott and Costello. While Bud and Lou enjoyed long and prosperous careers in films, radio and television, Brown and Carney are barely remembered today.
Bela Lugosi and Ian Wolfe had worked together 10 years prior, in The Raven (1935). They share no scenes together here. And 18 years later, Alan Carney and Nick Stewart both appeared in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963), likewise sharing no scenes.
Actor Russell Hopton (who played "Benny") died on 7 April 1945, less that a month before this film's release.
