"The Hedda Hopper Show - This Is Hollywood" broadcast a 30 minute radio adaptation of the movie on March 8, 1947 with Robert Young and Barbara Hale reprising their film roles.
The Last Frontier Hotel where Larry and Mary spend their honeymoon was an actual hotel and casino in Las Vegas. It opened in 1942 as the second hotel on The Strip. An expanded hotel and casino known as the New Frontier opened in 1955, and the pair operated concurrently until 1965. They were both demolished a year later, to be replaced by the Frontier which opened in 1967. Howard Hughes bought the property that same year. The longest work stoppage in U.S. history occurred there when the Culinary Workers Union went on strike from 1991 until the business was sold in 1998. The building was torn down in 2007. Wynn Resorts bought the property in 2018, but the land was still vacant in 2022.
Scott's $200 bet with Audrey on the horse race near the beginning of the film would equate to about $3,200 in 2022.
This film received its initial television presentations in Los Angeles Tuesday 6 March 1956 on KHJ (Channel 9), in Memphis Sunday 11 March 1956 on WHBQ (Channel 13), and in New York City Monday 2 July 1956 on WOR (Channel 9).
When Scott drives up to the book store, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel can be seen in the background at 9500 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. From that angle, Mary's book shop is in the 200 block of Rodeo Drive.
