250 extras were used for the theatrical scenes. Reportedly, one of the extras did not stand up and applaud when characters played by Maureen O'Hara and John Payne take their bows, and when asked about it by director Walter Lang, replied: "I'm pretending I'm a critic."
In the Toy Store scene, on the counter is a music box of a dancing ballerina and soldier. It was used in the 1943 "Jane Eyre". It belonged to Adele and she uses it to wake up Jane on her first morning.
