Foghorn Leghorn's line "Open the window, Richard!" is a reference to saxophonist Jack McVea's 1947 hit song, "Open the Door, Richard."
Unlike the other Foghorn Leghorn/Henery Hawk cartoons, Foghorn and the Barnyard Dawg are not enemies in this short film. Sylvester appears as Dawg's nemesis instead.
