Edit
Film debut of Penny Edwards.
Alexis Smith was considered for a leading role.
This film's earliest documented telecast took place in Tucson Saturday 1 September 1956 on KDWI (Channel 9); it first aired in Bellingham WA Sunday 30 September 1956 on KVOS (Channel 12), in Sacramento CA Saturday 6 October 1956 on KCRA (Channel 3), in Indianapolis Saturday 17 November 1956 on WTTV (Channel 4), in Spokane Saturday 15 December 1956 on KREM (Channel 2), in San Francisco Tuesday 25 December 1956 on KRON (Channel 4), in Miami Wednesday 26 December 1956 on WTVJ (Channel 4), and in Los Angeles Sunday 6 January 1957 on KTLA (Channel 5). At this time, color broadcasting was in its infancy, limited to only a small number of high rated programs, primarily on NBC and NBC affiliated stations, so these film showings were still in B&W. Most viewers were not offered the opportunity to see these films in their original Technicolor until several years later. In Honolulu it enjoyed its first colorcast Thursday 8 August 1957 on KHVH (Channel 13) and in Philadelphia it was first offered a colorcast presentation Wednesday 11 May 1960 on WFIL (Channel 6).
