William Lundigan, Ralph Morgan, Gail Patrick, and Warren William in Wives Under Suspicion (1938)

Trivia

Wives Under Suspicion

Edit
Ralph Morgan's (Shaw MacAllen) brother Frank Morgan starred in the original version, The Kiss Before the Mirror (1933), in a different role.
Wives Under Suspicion (1938) was originally called "Suspicion."
Ladislas Fodor's play called "Der Kuss Vor Dem Spiegel" opened in Vienna, Austria, during September 1932. Fodor's play was the basis for both the Universal films The Kiss Before the Mirror (1933) and also the remake Wives Under Suspicion (1938), both directed by James Whale.
Co-stars Warren William and Gail Patrick both had major involvement with the Perry Mason legal mystery franchise. William was the first actor to play Mason (starring in several films), and Patrick went on to be a producer of the 1957-1966 TV show Perry Mason (1957).
Wives Under Suspicion (1938) began shooting on a $250,000 budget and was completed four days ahead of schedule and $30,000 under budget.
