The 11th and final entry in Universal's deal with Crime Club. The studio had entered into a deal two years' earlier that allowed it to choose up to 4 of the publisher's whodunits for production as B-pictures.
Part of the original Shock Theater package of 52 titles released to television in 1957, followed a year later with Son of Shock, which added 20 more features.
