An uncredited eighteen-year-old Veronica Lake plays one of the Granville students.
Eddie Cantor's only movie at MGM.
Bonita Granville's first movie at MGM after leaving Warner Brothers, where she had made the popular "Nancy Drew" movies.
Baby boy "Chum" was played by twin girls billed as Baby Quintanilla in this movie. About nine months old at the time of this production, they appeared in only three other movies - Gold Rush Maisie (1940), Boom Town (1940) and Go West (1940), all released by MGM.
This movie's first telecast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania took place on Wednesday, September 18, 1957 on WFIL (Channel 6), followed by San Francisco, California on February 26, 1958 on KGO (Channel 7), New York City, New York on May 9, 1958 on WCBS (Channel 2), and Los Angeles, California on June 22, 1958 on KTTV (Channel 11).
