The locomotive that replaces the streamlined steam locomotive prior to the train arriving in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Railroad #1223, is preserved at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA.
Zasu Pitts formed a comedy duo with Thelma Todd. After Pitts left the duo because of salary demands, she was replaced by Patsy Kelly. The duo of Todd and Kelly continued until Todd's accidental death in 1935. This film unites Todd's two co-stars.
This film was first telecast in Los Angeles Sunday 27 June 1948 on KTLA (Channel 5), in Detroit Sunday 12 December 1948 on WWJ (Channel 2), in Chicago Monday 13 December 1948 on WGN (Channel 9), in New York City Tuesday 2 February 1949 on WPIX (Channel 11), in Boston Sunday 8 May 1949 on WBZ (Channel 4), in Philadelphia Thursday 16 June 1949 on WCAU (Channel 10), in Fort Worth Friday 5 August 1949 on WBAP (Channel 5), in Atlanta Sunday 4 September 1949 on WSB (Channel 8), and in Cincinnati Monday 17 October 1949 on WCPO (Channel 7), as part of their series of three dozen Hal Roach feature film productions, originally theatrically released between 1931 and 1943, and now being syndicated for television broadcast by Regal Television Pictures.
