In an interview with writer Francis M. Nevins, director Joseph H. Lewis denied that he had directed this film. He had indeed directed several films for PRC Pictures, but he had no idea why they put his name on the credits for this film.
Military etiquette prohibits soldiers from wearing their hats in doors. Despite this fact, soldiers are wearing hats in doors in this drama.
Under Military code, a salute is held by the giver until returned by the reciever. Apparently not in this movie.
The earliest documented telecasts of this film took place in New York City Sunday 5 September 1948 on WCBS (Channel 2), In Baltimore Saturday 27 November 1948 on WAAM (Channel 13), in Detroit Tuesday 15 March 1949 on WJBK (Channel 2), and in Los Angeles Wednesday 31 May 1950 on KTLA (Channel 5).
