    Two Keenes for one

The Driftin' Kid has Tom Keene in two roles. As range detective with Frank Yaconelli as sidekick and as the rancher whom they are supposed to be investigating regarding stolen horses.

Keene the detective has been hired by the Mexican government to investigate horses stolen from the Mexican cavalry after Keene stole them. The real villains put it around that Keene the rancher stole them back after he was paid.

The resemblance gives Keene an additional investigatory tool to use.

The climax is one of the silliest shootouts on record. The front row kids might have laughed but not those over 10. Doesn't hold up well.
