Trivia

The Feminine Touch

Edit
Don Ameche's first film for MGM. He had made a screen test there in 1935 and was rejected, but was signed the following year by 20th Century-Fox.
Van Heflin's first film for MGM after starting out at RKO in 1937. John Carroll was originally cast as Elliott Morgan before being replaced by Heflin, according to a contemporary article in The Hollywood Reporter.
The nightclub singer who performs "Jealous" is most certainly not Peggy Lee as is sometimes noted. The singer is played by Julie Gibson.
The fourth and final film Kay Francis made at MGM.
The lyrics to the song "Jealous" that Julie Gibson sings in the nightclub while the four film leads enjoy every bit of it, are: "I'm jealous of the moon that shines above, because it smiles upon the one I love. I'm jealous of the birdies in the trees, they're always singing sweetest melodies. I'm jealous of the pretty flowers too; I miss the kiss they always get from you. I'm jealous of the tick tock on the shelf; I'm even getting jealous of myself."
