The Warner Brothers cartoon producer, Edward Selzer, abruptly announced that they shouldn't make any bullfighting pictures.
In The Grey Hounded Hare (1949) (1949), an infuriated greyhound charges like a bull, which inspires Bugs to don a bullfighters' uniform and throw a red cape over his arm.

On both ABC and CBS, the climax of the short, involving Bugs thwarting his opponent with glue, sandpaper, a match and dynamite, was edited. Some or all of this scene is gone, depending on which TV station aired this short. ABC airings deleted all of the scene, showing only the bull sliding up the greased ramp and crashing into the fence, while CBS airings deleted only the match and the dynamite, leaving in the bull being daubed with glue and sandpaper, as well as the aftermath of the explosion.
ABC would also censor the the bull swallowing the elephant bullets and exploding.
