Despite having a major role as Detective Inspector Campbell's (Gordon Jackson) right-hand man Sergeant Harvey, Sam Kydd is missing from both the opening titles and end credits cast list.
Miss Shepherd says that she was reading a thriller called "Death in Seven Hours". This is the novel on which this film is based.
Concerning the lack of a sympathy amongst the victim's colleagues, Inspector Campbell, Gordon Jackson, says: "Wad some Power the giftie gie us to see oursels as ithers see us." When Sergeant Harvey, Sam Kydd, questions this Campbell says "Shakespeare." In fact it is from 'To a Louse, On Seeing One on a Lady's Bonnet at Church' by Robert Burns. As a Scotsman Campbell know this, and is amusing himself at Harvey's expense.
Opening credits: All characters and events in this film are fictitious. Any similarity to actual events, or persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
