Both Tyrone Power and Guy Williams played the role of Zorro/Don Diego de la Vega, in the feature film The Mark of Zorro (1940) and the TV series Zorro (1957), respectively.
This was Tyrone Power's first film away from 20th Century-Fox. He made it for Universal-International with a profit share participation, and reputedly made over $1 million.
"Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie on
March 1, 1954 with Tyrone Power reprising his film role.
