The World Premiere of the hit Disney animated feature, Peter Pan, took place in Chicago on Thursday, February 5, 1953, at 9 a.m. at the B&K State Lake theatre in the Loop (State near Lake). An ad in the Chicago Sun-Times (same date) states:
