Randolph Scott and Claire Trevor in The Stranger Wore a Gun (1953)

Trivia

The Stranger Wore a Gun

Edit
Although the film was another 3-D film by director Andre De Toth, he only had one eye and would never be able to see the result of the process. The other 3-D film he directed was "House of Wax."
Originally photographed in 3-D, but often only exhibited in flat prints after its initial first and second run engagements.
In a separately filmed trailer, Randolph Scott talks to the audience about the film and about 3-D.
Ernest Borgnine had never ridden a horse, but lied to the director about his horseback skills. (One can see him riding awkwardly down a hill in preparation to rob a coach.) At the end of the scene, Lee Marvin "tsk tsk"-ed him in disgust. But Randolph Scott handed Ernest a pair of spurs and said, "Here, kid, you just earned 'em."
One of the film's working titles was "I Ride Alone."
