Du mein stilles Tal

Edit
Actor Curd Jürgens sued the film company when a change of the film title was announced: from "Schweigepflicht" (oath of silence) to "Du mein stilles Tal" (you my silent valley). He won his case, but the production company appealed the decision which led to a settlement out of court and the film was released under the new title. The actors didn't attend the film's premiere, fearing it would flop after all the negative publicity and with the hated (because somewhat cheesy) new title. However, the film was a huge financial success, very likely because of all the publicity it got through the court case.
