The interior police station set is the same one used for Rebel Without A Cause (1955) which was released 2 months earlier.
One of Edward G. Robinson's hallmarks is smoking cigars. In this movie, as his character Victor Amato is about to leave his office, he takes some from a large humidor to put in his pocket. Not just two or three, but five - and he's already smoking another.
