Although Saguaro cacti are shown, they are generally not native to the 'red rock' region illustrated in the colorful background. This is part of Northern Arizona and Southern Utah, while the Saguaro lives in the Sonoran desert to the south.
One of the few dark moments in this series is shown, when Wile E. Coyote comes out of his den early on. There are bones scattered around the entrance.
The sight gag of Coyote in drag being pursued by fellow coyotes, with a juvenile bringing up the rear, would be replicated in the 1965 Tom and Jerry short, "The Brothers Carry Mouse Off"...with cats.
Even in his earliest schemes, Coyote makes use of the Acme catalog of products.
