The Lennon Sisters recorded the "Toy Tiger" theme song, with music by Henry Mancini & Herman Stein and lyrics by Leah Worth, on Lawrence Welk's Coral label.
This film has a few things in common with an earlier film directed by Jerry Hopper - The Private War of Major Benson (1955).
Both feature Tim Hovey as the little protagonist, David Janssen appears in both films, and both have the same opening theme music (due to having two of the same composers: Henry Mancini and Stanley Wilson).
