An article in the New York Times reported director Albert Band and writer Louis Garfinkle had purchased the rights to this film to produce a television series, but that never happened.
A pre-production article in the Los Angeles Examiner noted that director Albert Band considered casting the offspring of famous Hollywood stars in this picture and that John Drew Barrymore and Edward G. Robinson Jr. had already been cast, but they didn't appear in the released film.
