- Anabel Sims: Why can't we send them flowers and candy? Or take them out to dinner? Or why can't we call for them in our cars and take them for a nice little drive in the country?

- Anabel Sims: Maybe. If we wanted to.
- Anabel Sims: We'll have our dinner on a card table, right in front of a cozy fire. Because, you know, there's nothing like delicious home-cooked food to make a man not want to be a bachelor anymore.
- Julie Howard: Home-cooked food, my eye. It's all those little trimmings that you're counting on. Like that snug little dress of your's and when you serve the turtle soup, accidentally letting your hair brush against his cheek.
- Anabel Sims: Why, Julie.
