The File on Thelma Jordon (1949)

Trivia

The File on Thelma Jordon

Edit
The actors portraying Wendell Corey's character's children are Corey's real life children, Jonathan Corey and Robin Corey.
Barbara Stanwyck's real life older brother, Malcolm Byron Bert Stevens, plays a courtroom defense aide.
Several scenes incorporate the interior and exterior (e.g., at around 75 mins) of the Old Orange County Courthouse, in Santa Ana California. The building, now containing offices and a museum, was opened in 1901 and is an example of the Romanesque Revival architectural style. It is designated as a California Historical Landmark and also is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Celebrated costumer Edith Head designed the fashionable ladies' garments. Dior's groundbreaking New Look collection, which premiered just two years prior, is nodded to with the full skirts, wide collars, geometric necklines, and bold embellishments. She would win her first Oscar that same year for Samson and Delilah (1949).
This film is a public-domain movie and is legally free in the United States.
